Martensitic stainless steel includes martensitic and precipitation hardening types. In engineering applications, the focus is primarily on mechanical properties. Although these steels have good corrosion resistance in atmospheric and mild corrosive environments (such as water and certain organic media), their corrosion performance is often not considered as an inspection criterion. The chemical composition range is: Cr 13%-17%, Ni 2%-6%, C ≤ 0.06%. 

The main microstructure is low carbon plate-like martensite, which provides excellent mechanical properties. The strength index is more than twice that of austenitic stainless steel, while also possessing good processability, especially in terms of welding performance. Therefore, it plays a crucial role in important engineering applications and is an important branch in the field of stainless steel casting.
